EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS

COMPOSER:

All works for which no composer is expressly named are by Jacek Rabinski.

KEY:

If there is no special commentary, the key conforms to the conventional major-minor system.

ABSOLUTE TONALITY:

Pure tonal music, in the strict sense of the word, in which only scale tones are utilised.

For example: im harmonic C Minor only the following tones are used: c, d, e-flat, f, g, a-flat, b,  

not including their transpositions!

All listening samples are in MP3 format.

The duration of the samples is generally 1-2 minutes long.

To optimize download time, the selections from concerts have been highly compressed, which strongly affects the quality of the recordings.  

Selections from CDs are less drastically compressed, so as to approach the quality of the original.  

Even this improved quality, however, is not comparable to the original recordings.  

The purpose of these samples is to give a short presentation of the piece.
